The Nikon V1 is the consumer aimed mirrorless interchangeable lens
camera by Nikon. It is the first attempt by Nikon to get into the
lucrative mirrorless camera market. The Nikon V1 is certainly a good
looking camera and has great specs to match. Nikon have kept the sensor
resolution down to 10.1 megapixels on a new sensor size made just for
the camera, of 13.2mm by 8.8mm. Many people believe that because it is
only 10.1 megapixels it will be low quality, this is due to the
misconception that megapixels relate to the quality of an image, but it
is only the size of the image.
